With Design in Mind: Win the chance to have your design featured on a limited-edition tote bag

Enter our art competition and you could win a £250 Seasalt voucher while raising £250 for Mind.

To celebrate the positive effects that arts and crafts can have on mental wellbeing, we’ve launched With Design in Mind, a competition with an arty difference in collaboration with our charity partner, Mind.

Over three quarters of participants in the BBC Arts Great British Creativity Test (2018) said creativity could help improve feelings of stress and anxiety, with almost a quarter naming a type of craft practice as their favourite activity.

Your brief, should you choose to accept it, is to create a design that embodies a happy moment. It could be anything from a place to a memory, pet, person or object… whatever a happy moment means to you. You can use the medium of your choice to create your piece of art – whether it’s painting, drawing, lino cutting or Photoshop, anything goes! The only limitations are that your artwork must be presented in a square format and use a maximum of four colours.

The winning design will feature on a limited-edition canvas tote bag, and the winner will receive a £250 Seasalt voucher. Seasalt will also donate £250 to Mind on the winner’s behalf.

Our judging panel will include Seasalt’s Co-founder and Print Designer, Sophie Chadwick, our Chief Creative Officer, Laura Watson, and a Mind ambassador.

Entries close at midnight GMT on Friday 17th September 2021. We can’t wait to see your designs!

If you need some inspiration, check out our Senior Creative Designer Matt Johnson’s guide to wild sketching. In Matt’s words, ‘Drawing focuses your attention entirely the present moment, so it can be a great exercise in mindfulness.’
