Seafarers

Our latest collection is woven with stories of the sea and Cornwall’s dramatic coastline.

As wild waves crash onto winter shores, we’re seeking warmth in effortless layers and comfort in cosy texture. Lofty knits have been crafted with traditional rib stitching borrowed from seafarers’ jumpers, and simple silhouettes are designed to be layered under warm winter coats and over easy jersey layers.

Fresh blues, salted whites and optimistic greens ebb and flow across rippling yarn-dyed checks and spring florals. As always, our carefully chosen fabrics and thoughtfully crafted details are inspired by our heritage of maritime workwear. Made to bring joy to your spring, each piece has been crafted to last for seasons to come.

Modern Maritime

Our newest nautical styles have clean lines, contemporary details and a fresh palette of blues. Our denim is made from durable organic cotton and hemp blends, with plenty of pockets and functional buttons that are inspired by heritage workwear. They’re styles that will be loved and lived in for seasons to come.

Meet boatbuilder Ben Harris

Our menswear is rooted in the practical, hardwearing clothing that we first sold to boatbuilders, fishers and artists in Penzance. We wanted to capture the easy fits and practical features of our latest collection by photographing it in use, so visited Ben and his skilled team in their boatyard near Falmouth. We talked to him about craft, community and heritage.

“Living in Cornwall, we are surrounded by the sea and a living maritime heritage. I work in Gweek Quay Boatyard where countless wooden boats have been built, I sail the Cornish Coast in a wooden boat based on the lines of the Falmouth Quay Punts and I count fishermen, sailors and shipwrights among my friends. The maritime heritage of Cornwall is alive and proud of its past.”

Breathing Space

Styles that are made for mindful movement, so you can greet the new year feeling rested and renewed. Our soft, skimming tops and trousers have a comforting touch of stretch, with buoyant colours and refreshing, mix-and-match prints that celebrate the art of slowing down.

They are modelled by Vici Williams, a wellness expert who has for several years run sessions for us as part of our wellbeing programme. If you’re inspired to make room for more mindful moments in 2023, she’s shared some tips and simple mindfulness exercises to try.

As always, we’d love to see how you’re #WearingSeasalt. Share how you’re wearing your favourite pieces with us @SeasaltCornwall.
